The ground floor, at the moment, is complete. Now I dedicate myself to the upper floor.

First of all, I prepare the base that will support the entire first floor. This will be made of wooden beams.

I then cut out a series of strips about 4mm thick, which I will then proceed to wood with the help of a toothpick:

Now I'll build the whole perimeter on which the walls of the first floor will lie. In order to save time, I can bypass the central core, so the model will have a closed structure and therefore the interiors will not be visible. To better comprehend what I mean, here is an image of the perimeter completed and assembled:

The first floor will also include two side balconies, one small on the left wall and one a little larger on the right. Thus, I would add to the perimeter the axes on which the walls of these balconies will stand.

The perimeter walls

The height of this first floor will be 20cm. I'll prepare the four walls:

To thicken the walls to about 1cm (the minimum thickness of the polystyrene panels I am using is 2cm) I will use proxxon. This, however, does not accept elements higher than 13cm so I will be working on this first floor as if it was two separate levels, dividing the walls and creating a first level 11cm tall (the one where there will be balconies) and the second level 9cm tall (where I will insert windows).

I will not worry about the line of junction between the two levels as it will be covered later by the exposed beams of the rafters.

Here is a picture of one side of the house with two windows on the upper level:

The upper level, as already mentioned, will have windows on each side:

That is how the model looks right now:

I will begin the construction of the two balconies.
Each of these will have a coating with wooden boards coated with shingles. Next, I will draw the curvature of the roof on both shoulders:

Boundary beams

Along the whole perimeter of this level (as well as the upper ones), I will insert some boundary beams on the base of the walls. These, besides enriching the scene, will also serve to cover the small defects due to the alignment between the walls and the axes of the base.

The realization of these will be made with laths of square thickness and length varying depending on the walls on which will rest.

I'll cut out the individual laths:

I will proceed to wooding:

As soon as I'll obtain a substantial stock, I proceed to the laying:

Realization of the rafter

The rafter will be made of wooden boards that are less thick than those on the base and also less wide (about a half).

The design of the rafter is pure fantasy: here it is possible to indulge in the best way one can believe (perhaps taking inspiration from the multitude of material found on the net).

Just one point of attention: the installation of the rafter, in addition to the embellishment of the model, must also serve to cover all the joints of the various elements used to form the model.

For example:

This is how it looks when the grid will be laid:

Following this logic, I will proceed to lay down the grid on all four sides of the first floor:
